Public perceptions survey (crime/ASB)

02 November 2015

What is it? The Police and Crime Commissioner's Public Perception Survey continually monitors public perceptions of crime, anti-social behaviour and policing. Survey results for the 12 months to September 2015 have now been loaded onto the Observatory and are available at county, district and seven area level.

Example statistic: 79.1% of people are satisfied with their local area as a place to live, slightly higher than the West Yorkshire average. There has been a significant improvement in Pontefract and Knottingley with problems associated with young people hanging around and being disruptive. In the last 12 months, 19.4% of people said this behavior was a problem, down from 28.5% a year earlier.
