Wakefield Fuel Poverty Study

What is it? This report presents the final findings of the Wakefield Fuel Poverty Study. The principla objectives of the study were to clearly define the current baselines of Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) rating and fuel poverty in the Wakefield district; provide an insight into low SAP and fuel poverty trends and its influencing factors in Wakefield housing; and provide cost-benefit-analysis and recommendations of future actions up to 2020 to improve SAP ratings and address fuel poverty.

Example statistic: Analysis of the EPC data indicates that the housing stock in Wakefield is in most need of loft insulation with an estimated 56,550 properties requiring this work. Of the other major retrofit energy efficiency improvements, 24,525 require cavity wall insulation, and 25,351 require solid wall insulation.
