Ofsted school inspection results updated

05 December 2013

What is it? Ofsted inspects and assesses schools every few years to provide information to parents and to promote improvement. The inspection report includes grades for how good a school is at particular aspects of its work. Inspection results are updated on the Wakefield Observatory a couple of times a year and the latest update now inlcudes inspections up until the end of June 2013. New dynamic maps have been produced using HTML5, making them accessible to iPad users.

Example statistic: At their last inspection, 16 primary schools and 3 secondary schools achieved the highest grade available (1) for overall effectiveness.

Where to find it: Tables and maps are available under Statistics ... Education ... School performance measures ... School Ofsted Inspection Results (Wakefield).
