  • The mid-2015 population estimates show that Wakefield's population increased by 0.7% last year, to 333,759 people. This is Wakefield’s largest single-year increase in at least 15 years, although it’s still lower than the increase across England as a whole (0.9%). (ONS, 23rd June 2016)
